Dr. Rebecca Paneitz
Dr. Rebecca ("Becky") Paneitz became the President of NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) in Bentonville, Arkansas in 2003. A skilled leader and education advocate, she has worked closely with campus and regional stakeholders to develop dynamic partnerships to increase access to high-quality, affordable education for learners of all ages. NWACC's culture of entrepreneurship is reflected in myriad initiatives, to include the establishment of an innovative world-class Global Business Development Center on the campus.
Dr. Paneitz earned her bachelor's degree in office administration from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, her master's degree in criminal justice from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and her doctorate in vocational education from Colorado State University. She has served many through her work as a college faculty member and administrator in programs ranging from personnel, instruction, and technology and the trades. She served as personnel administrator for the Arkansas Department of Corrections before becoming Dean of Technology and Trades and then Dean of Arts, Business and Communication at Pueblo Community College in Colorado. She then became Dean of Instruction at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, where she was instrumental in the planning and development of their advanced technology center - a feat she had also accomplished at Pueblo. Before returning home to her native Arkansas, Dr. Paneitz served as Vice President for Instruction at Central Piedmont Community College in North Carolina.
