Dr. Rich Haney

In November 2006, Rich Haney became the Assistant Vice President for Workforce Education at the College of Lake County, having most recently served as the College's Assistant Vice President for Educational Affairs. He joined the College of Lake County in September 1999 as the Dean of Business and Industry Services following leadership positions at Parkland College and Southwestern Illinois Community College.

Mr. Haney has over 15 years of experience developing and implementing training and education partnerships between employers, educational institutions, business associations, and community and economic development groups. He has served as president of both the Illinois Community College Economic Development Association and the Illinois Council of Community College Administrators. He has a Bachelors degree in education from Southern Illinois University and a Masters degree in education, with an emphasis in human resource development, from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. He is currently in the process of completing his dissertation leading to a doctorate degree in education from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
