Teri Brahams
Teri Brahams became the Executive Director for Pellissippi State Technical Community College's Business and Community Services Division in January 2006, after spending 10 years as the College's Director of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC). In her current position, Teri is responsible for managing the activities of not only the TSBDC but also all the continuing education and economic development programs of the College.
Teri currently serves as Chair-Elect for the Blount County Chamber Board, Vice-Chair of the Board for Leadership Blount, is a Board member of Fairview Technology Center, and Secretary for Areawide Development Corporation. She is also active at St. Andrews Episcopal Church where she is on the Vestry and serves as Finance Committee Chair. In the past, she has also served as a co-chair for a Nine Counties - One Vision Taskforce, worked as a volunteer Junior Achievement instructor and served on numerous committees for the Alcoa City Commission.
Teri became a TSBDC Center Director following an extensive banking career, during which time she became a strong advocate of small businesses, served on numerous local and regional committees and participated in organizations and initiatives focused on fostering small business success. In her position as Director, she continued these advocacy activities in addition to consulting with clients and developing and planning seminars and workshops for the Centers. She was also recognized as the Tennessee State TSBDC Star Award winner at the ASBDC national Conference. Teri is an honors graduate of the MBA program at University of Tennessee - Knoxville and received her BA with honors from Maryville College.
